Pentaerythrityl Tetra C5-9 Acid Esters

INCI: Pentaerythrityl Tetra C5-9 Acid Esters | Function: Emollient, Skin Conditioning | Type: Synthetic Ester Blend

What Is Pentaerythrityl Tetra C5-9 Acid Esters?

Pentaerythrityl Tetra C5-9 Acid Esters is a mixed ester blend where the pentaerythritol core is esterified with a blend of short-chain fatty acids ranging from C5 (valeric) to C9 (pelargonic). These short-chain esters create an extremely lightweight, fast-spreading, low-viscosity emollient with a very dry, non-oily feel. It is ideal for facial serums, lightweight lotions, and hair oils where a “dry touch” emollient is desired. The short chains evaporate relatively quickly, leaving minimal residue.
