What Is PG-Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein?

PG-modified hydrolyzed wheat (Triticum vulgare) protein. Wheat proteins are rich in glutamine and proline — amino acids that provide excellent film-forming and hair volumizing properties. The PG modification improves water solubility and reduces the gelling tendency. Wheat protein is the most commonly used plant protein in hair care for its volumizing effect.
